2027 NHL Draft Prospect Report – Brock England (C)

2027 NHL Draft Prospect Report – Brock England (C)

Brock England #16 Seattle Thunderbirds

Left shot centre. 5.10 / 160

DOB: August 22, 2009

England is an explosive, offensively gifted two-way forward whose elite speed is the defining element of his game. He combines excellent agility with crafty puck handling, allowing him to create separation, beat defenders, and generate offensive opportunities. He possesses a big shot and gets pucks to the net quickly, while his ability to find open ice makes him a dangerous scoring threat. England is also an excellent playmaker who can thread the needle with his passing and consistently set up teammates in scoring positions.

He brings a high compete level and strong work ethic, contributing on both sides of the puck. Defensively, he demonstrates good lane interruption, uses his stick effectively, blocks shots, and helps transition the puck out of the zone. His offensive skill set also makes him an effective power-play option.

Adding a stronger physical component would round out his game and make him more difficult to contain against bigger, stronger opponents. However, his combination of speed, offensive creativity, shooting ability, and two-way commitment gives him considerable upside. Currently I have him projected seventh overall for the 2027 NHL Entry Draft, England has the potential to develop into a dynamic first-line NHL centre.
