The Blackhawks sent down forward Dominic Toninato today. Toninato was originally called up because of injuries, now the Blackhawks forward group is nearly fully healthy.
Toninato was kept with the NHL club longer than expected due to the Frank Nazar suspension. When Nazar was sidelined, The Blackhawks needed another center.
The Blackhawks are on day one of a five day break before continuing their home stand. This move tells me that forward Andrew Mangiapane will likely start skating with the team during this break.
Toninato played three games with the Blackhawks and was a -3.
