Daxon Rudolph Spotlight: Why this RHD is a Potential Top 10 Pick

By Ron Mont Creator of RNJ Media

Daxon a coveted Right Hand Shot Defensemen for the Prince Albert Raiders knows how to win with 2 WJC Gold Medals and a Hlinka Gretzky Cup Bronze with Team Canada! He has a great shot from the point and plays really well on the Power Play. He is looking to set up teammates on the rush or take it in himself as he is not afraid to led the rush!

At 6’2″ 205lbs, this Right Hand Shot Blueliner is making his mark for a potential call come spring of 2026 for the Draft!! Watching film on Daxon you can see his consistency and how it shines through each game. After talking with him he said, “I am looking to take time and space away from my opponent.” and you can see that in his game as he frustrates the opposition on a nightly basis. Another area of his game that has grown more and more each season is his use on the Power Play. It might not always be on the top PP unit, but this coveted Right Hand shot Defenseman knows how to put the puck into the back of the net as evidence buy his numerous goals. This blueliner is a as he puts it “A pass first guy!” when he is coming across the blue line. He is looking to set up teammates and only if the option presents itself, then Daxon’s offensive prowess shines through and he is able to take the puck in himself with a wicked twisted wrister or a great deke to get the puck in the back of the net.

What is next for this young player you are asking, let me say that his cell will be blowing up with calls from quite a few teams across the league looking to find out just what he brings to the table. He is projected as one of the top picks next spring and I agree with that 100%. After an off season in Calgary with DASH to help him improve his game he is ready to take that next step. His size is an advantage, but his game is to take time and space away from his opponents and he is pretty adept at doing so. He only uses the physical game when needed but feels he is best taking away the puck or being skilled enough to not only take the puck but skate it the other way with a great outlet pass to a darting teammate up the wing for a chance on goal!!

Mark my words this young talented player will be one of the first few names called in the draft for 2026 and it will be well deserved for Daxon Rudolph. Keep that name in mind, as he will be a household name in the very, very near future.
